Our mission statement

Our guiding principle

By means of our teaching, research and development activities and the services we deliver, we seek to make a contribution towards a better quality of life for people with special needs and living together with people with special needs.

 

Quality of life includes

• the fulfilment basic human needs

• participation in society, education and culture

• equality, autonomy and emancipation

In both our attitudes and our behaviour, we strive to attain a high level of professionalism and enter into a lively debate with the all relevant stakeholders.

 

In this spirit, we also have an impact on

• the design of occupational fields in the context of special needs education

• the ethical and scientific debate

• public and political opinion-making
