Definition of Personal Data
Section 3 of the Information and Data Protection Act of the Canton of Zurich (IDHG ZH) defines personal data as information relating to an identified or identifiable person (e.g. name, address, telephone number, email or IP address).

Data Collection
When you visit the website, personal data is automatically collected. The data collected includes, in particular, the IP address, information on the device, browser or operating system used and the internet provider. Also collected are the date and time of the visit, pages and content accessed, functions used, the referring website, location information, language and country settings. We use the data collected to improve our services and web content.

Storage of Data
The University of Teacher Education in Special Needs will process and store your personal data for as long as is necessary in order to fulfil legal or contractual obligations or for operational reasons. Data can be stored for operational reasons beyond the legal retention periods if a legitimate business interest makes this necessary. Data that no longer needs to be stored is deleted, anonymized or archived.

The data collected automatically when visiting the website is only disclosed to third parties if there are legal requirements (e.g. court orders) or if disclosure is necessary for legal or criminal proceedings (e.g. in the case of attacks on the university network infrastructure).

Your IP address is anonymized by the Google Analytics function «_anonymizeIp()» to protect your privacy. The function changes the last octet of your IP address, which only allows a rough geographical localization.
