Mission Statement

Guiding principle

Through our teaching, research and development activities and services we deliver, we seek to promote a better quality of life for people with special needs and those living together with people with special needs.

Quality of life includes

  • The fulfilment of basic human needs
  • Participation in society, education and culture
  • Equality, autonomy and emancipation

In both our attitudes and our behaviour, we strive to attain a high level of professionalism and to conduct a lively dialog with all participants and stakeholders.

In this spirit, we also have an impact on

  • The design of occupational fields in the context in special needs education
  • The ethical and scientific debate
  • Public and political opinion-making
